What qualifications do you have?
Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) Melbourne Uni. Member of the ICAA.

What experience do you have?
Five and a half years in public practice, 4 years spent at a large second tier firm. Mainly in business service. I have also worked in audit, due diligence and special projects.

When did you join Nexia ASR?
I joined Nexia ASR in November 2006

Why did you choose to join Nexia ASR?
I joined Nexia ASR because I felt that we are large enough to offer varied and interesting client work and training and development opportunities, whilst still being small enough in that it is an organisation that has a close knit culture, where everyone knows everyone.

Why did you become an accountant?
I fell into it to be honest. I had started two university courses previously and found neither one to be close to my expectations. I tried an accountancy subject and I found that everything fit and it was something that I enjoyed. Whilst a career in chartered accounting has been very unexpected, I must say that I am very pleased with the results.

If you could have any business in the world as a client who would it be?
The Pepsi corporation. As everyone knows Coca-Cola has been number one in the soft drink world since day one. It is also an industry that for whatever reason I have always found fascinating. The challenge of trying to make the number two company number one which would require one to think laterally and outside the square would be too good to pass up.

If you could have dinner with anyone in the world, who would it be and why?
If I had to choose only one person in the world it would have to be my partner Merryn.

What do you like to do in your spare time?
I am wanting to do more travel. I play cricket and coach juniors in the summer. I enjoy watching all sports and going to the movies.

Which AFL team do you support?
The once mighty Bombers!
