His story
Tom has been associated with Nexia ASR through all of its development and success over the past 30 years, starting as Alexander & Spencer. Tom specialises in business and taxation advice, as well as company valuations and litigation support services. He has extensive experience in the property, funds management industry and in advising professional services firms.

Tom has enhanced his practical commercial experience with many years of active community work. Reflecting the philosophy of the firm, Tom explains that for him, there is more to life than his business, and recognises that the same is true for his clients and staff. He admits a special interest in people as individuals.

what do you do in your spare time?
My leisure time is committed largely to voluntary community service. I currently hold the office of President of the Jewish National Fund (Victorian Division), and am a foundation member and Honorary Treasurer of the Australian Direct Property Investment Association (ADPIA).

What AFL team do you barrack for?
I describe my lifelong support for the St Kilda Football Club as the “unshakeable belief in the impossible” and “optimism carried to an extreme”. Nonetheless, through my involvement, Nexia ASR has acted as advisors to the Club and has been appointed as the Club’s auditors. “How’s that for an overdose of reality?”
